It takes my breath away to see nature’s beauty right outside my window.

What makes you happy about O’Brien County?

O'Brien County makes me happy every day. I grew up right outside Chicago. I can say I truly appreciate the wide open spaces here.

One memory of “touring” O’Brien County:

Touring O'Brien is what I do. I moved here 9 years ago and for the first two years I made a point of wandering into a town, or driving down a road every week that I hadn't seen. It was great way to get my bearings. I still love to take "the road less travelled", just to see what's around the next bend.

What did you learn during the COVID-19 Pandemic?

The pandemic has been a genuine learning experience. We have found that we can have an exceptional evening sitting on the patio with a few friends (6 feet apart from each other) and just talk, and laugh! A few hours fly by, and we look forward to the next time.
